The Story:
The morning glory is a hardy, creeping vine that seems to grow almost anywhere, which is why people tend to view them as "sagbot" or weeds. But did you know that certain species of this plant genus are used in folk medicine? They've been used as remedies for stomachaches, and poultices for wounds. Their beautiful trumpet-like flowers also come in many colors, and can make for beautiful ornamental plants.
For this pair of earrings I wanted to capture the climbing nature of the vines. This is an asymmetrical pair with different lengths. One side attaches to an ear cuff to make the vines look like they're trailing up your ear. You can definitely channel your inner diwata (forest spirit) with this pair!
Size: This is an asymmetrical pair. One earring drops 7 cm, the other earring drops 5 cm and has an ear cuff attachment.
Materials: Glass seed beads, waxed thread, gold-tone stainless steel earring posts, backs, and cuff. Stainless steel findings make these safe for sensitive ears.
