The Story
Since ancient times the sun was recognized as a powerful, life-sustaining force, and worshipped as a deity. To the ancient Kapampangan he was the warrior sun god, Apolaki, who rules the day. In other myths she was the goddess Hanan, who ushered in the dawn. She was prayed to when one entered a new phase in life.
The Adlaw Hoop Earrings are inspired by precolonial Filipino ear ornaments and feature the granulation that was so popular with our ancestors. This pair is the perfect precolonial Filipino touch for everyday wear.
Size: 1" across
