The Story
For generations the stars guided our ancestors through their day to day lives. They were the light that led them through the darkness on the high seas, and their movement across the skies told them of the changing of the seasons.
The stars were also worshipped as deities. In the Visayas, they were the silver shards of the goddess Lisuga. Among the Tagalog, the morning star was the goddess Tala.
The Bituon Ear Jackets are inspired by the star motifs found in traditional Filipino weaves from Luzon and Mindanao. This pair is the perfect day-to-night pair: wear them as simple studs or add on the fringe for glamour and drama!
Size: Studs measure 0.4" across, fringes drop 4"
Materials: Gold-plated solid brass earrings, glass beads, sterling silver earring posts and locks. Silver makes this safe for sensitive ears.
Note: Pre-order. This piece ships out in 2 weeks upon order. This piece is completely made by hand, so there may be slight differences which make each piece totally unique.
